Wondercon 2010, Part 2

April 8, 2010 - Thursday

Here are the rest of my sketches from Wondercon.

The first sketch is from the great Sergio Aragones. I was too intimidated to try and make small talk when meeting such a legend. So I just said thanks for the sketch and got the heck out of there!

The next sketch is from Darrin Bell, creator of the syndicated comic strip Candorville. This is a smart strip that is head and shoulders above most of the other syndicated comics.

I've never read Bumperboy before this convention, but when I saw Debbie Huey's minicomics, I had to ask for a sketch. It's fun, family friendly stuff.

R. K. Milholland, creator of Something Positive, made me this great sketch of my 8 month old son, who was keeping me company at the convention (actually, he was just there to see the girls in bikinis).

Finally, here a sketch by David Malki, creator of Wondermark. He mentioned that a few people had emailed him about the Vintage Calamities strips that I did a couple of weeks ago because they were worried that I was stealing his style. I think he understood that I did these strips out of my admiration for his work and was really cool about it.
