Gamma-ray Burst
This drawing is an artist interpretation of a gamma-ray burst. A disk funnels material
down onto a central black hole. This produces powerful jets that shoot from the poles at
speeds near that of light and makes a pulse of gamma-rays that is seen by astronomers.
